In the autumn of 1998, the Shrine of the Little Flower Church was declared a National Shrine by the United States Bishops’ Conference, one of only five in this country.
At the National Shrine, we celebrate a long tradition of faith dedicated to the spirituality of the Little Flower, Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.

The National Shrine of The Little Flower is pleased to announce that the Archdiocese of Detroit has assigned Father Robert Fisher of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica, MI to become the new pastor of the National Shrine. Father Fisher’s assignment comes after the unexpected death of Monsignor William Easton on December 29, 2013.
"I am very grateful that Father Fisher has agreed to being sent to serve as the pastor of the National Shrine of the Little Flower," said Archbishop Vigneron. "He has proven himself to be a zealous and loving priest. I am confident that The Lord Jesus will work powerfully through him in this new and challenging assignment."
Father Fisher has been a priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit for 22 years. He also has served as pastor of St. Angela Parish in Roseville (2000-03); director of priestly vocations for the Archdiocese of Detroit (1995-2000); and associate pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Grosse Pointe Woods (1992-1995).

Monsignor William H. Easton Educational Fund
A new endowment fund, the Monsignor William H. Easton Educational Fund, has been established at the National Shrine of the Little Flower to ensure that Monsignor Easton’s name and legacy will forever be remembered and honored. The fund will be used to support Catholic Education.
