Sacrament Of Marriage
Those wishing to be married at the National Shrine of the Little Flower must be a registered parishioner for at least six months. If you, your fiancé or either of your parents are not currently members, there is a six-month waiting period from the day of your registration before you can meet with one of the priests to start your marriage preparation process. The marriage preparation process typically takes six months to complete, but could take longer if there are any impediments that have to be addressed before a Catholic marriage can take place. The priest who is conducting the marriage preparation with you will schedule the church for the wedding date. Dates can not be held in advance of the start of the marriage preparation process by the priest.
If you meet the registration requirements, you need to schedule an appointment with the priest of your choice to start the marriage preparation process.
For more information, please contact Charlene Lewandowski in the Rectory at 248.541.4122 ext 410.
