MASTER PLAN

“The Master Plan” began with the Unified
School Board. It came to the Parish
Council with a request that it
approve a strategic and facilities
plan for the High School. The
board recognized the high school
needed a plan for updating facilities
and curriculum to continue to
be competitive with both area
Catholic and public high schools.
Its proposal for a plan led the Parish
Council to ask the same question
of itself about the entire parish.
It had recently been designated
the “National Shrine of the
Little Flower” by the National
Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The growth in the number of parish
families in the last decade has
caused us to begin “busting at the
seams.” Many times, we did not
have space for the many classes,
study groups and meetings.
Many of our other parish organizations
were expressing the
same concerns about planning,
needing more space, maintaining
our facilities and, most importantly,
where our parish and
schools should be going for the
next 15 to 20 years. By developing
this vision for the future of the entire
parish, we have a guide
for all long-term plans and a strategy
for the necessary investments
for our facilities.
