Last November, Archbishop Vigneron charged each Catholic grade school K-8 within the Archdiocese of Detroit to create a strategic plan by June 2018. Each school began the process by creating teams to complete this very large and important project. Each team consists of the pastor, administration, teachers, alumni, parents, and parishioners. The teams are going through Unleash the Gospel training, as well as training in the National Standards and Benchmarks for Catholic Education.
These strategic plans will look at the four main benchmarks of Catholic Education including Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Operational Vitality. We will also review demographic data for our schools.
One very important part of this process is the Catholic Schools Program Effectiveness Survey. All our parishioners at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica who do not have children in our schools are asked to take this survey as well as our current school parents. We ask that you please fill out this survey as well to help us in the formation of our strategic plan. The data will be compiled by the Archdiocese of Detroit and the results will be shared with each school in March. The results will then guide the rest of our strategic planning process.
We thank you in advance for your help in this project and we look forward to this important planning process.
The survey will close on Tuesday February 13, 2018 at the end of day.
