Michigan State Tragedy

This past week brought news of another tragic shooting, this time at Michigan State University These acts of senseless violence have become all too common in in our society. This tragedy strikes close to home.

We mourn the loss of Alexandria Verner (Guardian Angels Catholic Church), Arielle Anderson, and Brian Fraser (St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church) who died and we commend them to the Lord.

We pray for the recovery of those critically injured. We pray in a special way for their families and friends and those who witnessed this tragedy. It is hard to imagine the depth of their loss and sorrow.

We also pray for an end to the unspeakable violence in our society as we remember the Lord’s command to love one another.

May the Lord watch over us all in His love and mercy.
