We are excited to accompany our families in non-Catholic schools through Family Catechism. This offering is for K-8 children along with their parents. Families gather 9:30-11 a.m. Sundays twice a month September-May at Shrine Catholic Grade School.
After gathering for family prayer, children participate in age-level classes while parents enjoy coffee and conversation and gain tools to raise their children in the faith in an increasingly secular world. At least one parent must attend with their child. Parents have expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn more about their Catholic faith and connect with other parents.

The Special Needs Ministry offers group instruction for children in grades K-8 in a multi-age class while still addressing individual needs. We use the Adaptive Finding God text series by Loyola Press.
After our opening prayer that incorporates music, the instruction may include discussions, arts and crafts, videos, and opportunities for hands-on activities. Our experienced catechists work with parents and their child(ren) during our session time. Formation is incorporated in our sessions for children preparing for sacraments.
Our sessions are 6-7 p.m. most Wednesdays October-May in the Shrine Conference Center.

We invite young people in grades 7 and 8 to begin preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This two-year period strives to prepare young people for a life of active discipleship. We use the award-winning Chosen program by Ascension Press, which incorporates prayer, scripture, video, and discussion. Special family activities and service opportunities are provided throughout the year, giving participants a chance to encounter Christ and to share Him with families and the community.
