Altar Servers

Child Servers

Most of the altar servers at the National Shrine are young people. Training is held in September for boys and girls, fifth grade and older, who wish to serve in this special ministry. Servers are needed for all liturgies, including weekday and weekend Masses, weddings, funerals and special events. This ministry is open to any young person, not just Shrine Catholic School students.

Cub Scouts Pack #1634

Overview and Mission:

Cub Scouting is a year-round family program where boys and their families have fun and adventure in an organized Scouting program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program – all while having a great time with their friends and families. As a Catholic chartered Pack, we embrace faith with prayer and opportunities to attend mass together.
